<p>Foxconn Chairman Young Liu said that since their entry into India in 2005, their income, staff count, and investment volume had all increased significantly.</p>

<p>“At the moment, it focuses mostly on ICT final assembly. In the future, Hon Hai will vigorously pursue work in the field of crucial components to improve its competitiveness in India, according to Liu, who spoke during the company’s financial results announcement for the second quarter of 2023.</p>

<p>The creator of the iPhone will expand operations in Karnataka, Telangana, and other states in addition to its current operations in Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.</p>

<p>“Hon Hai will plan to establish industrial parks and optimize the business environment in terms of infrastructure, policies, and laws through close cooperation with central and local governments,” Liu said.</p>

<p>Foxconn and the Karnataka government signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) earlier this month, with an anticipated investment expenditure of Rs 5,000 crore expected to generate 13,000 employment.</p>

<p>Along with the iPhone end assembly factory that the Taiwanese business intends to build at Devanahalli ITIR on the outskirts of Bengaluru with an estimated investment of Rs 14,000 crore, these projects are also underway.</p>

<p>The Taiwanese electronics giant said last month that it will invest Rs 1,600 crore in the construction of a mobile phone component manufacturing plant in Tamil Nadu’s Kancheepuram district.</p>

<p>Foxconn now uses a plant in the vicinity of Chennai to build iPhones for Apple. In order to help local partners strengthen their supply chains and increase local competitiveness, Hon Hai stated it will continue to adopt the BOL (build-operate-localize) approach across Southeast Asia, especially in Vietnam, Thailand, and Indonesia.</p>

<p>Hon Hai’s operational profit fell short of expectations and it recorded a net income of NT$33 billion ($1 billion).</p>

<p>After earlier predicting stable revenue, the business anticipates a decline in revenues this year.</p>

<p>Chairman Liu said that the company’s ongoing investment in critical technological research and development, particularly in energy efficiency and heat dissipation technologies, is what allows it to provide one-stop integrated services in the AI server market.</p>
